About the position
Join our team as a Concreter/Concrete Finisher in a full-time role. Job requirements
- Place, spread, vibrate, screed and finish concrete for structures such as ground slabs, suspended slabs, stairs, footings, walls, columns, to Australian safety and quality standards
- Use tools such as trowels, trowel machines (walkbehinds/helicopters), ride on machines, shovels, screeds, rakes, concrete saws, pressure washers.
- Apply curing compounds and sealants to protect and finish the concrete surfaces
- Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure completion of tasks
Experience and skills
- Proven experience in concrete placing and finisher, minimum 2 years’ experience
- Knowledge and experience of a range of concrete finishes i.e. smooth, non-skid, burnished, polished etc
- Experience machine finishing to a high standard on large scale projects/floor plates
- Preferably, knowledge of RL’s, levels and use of laser
- Willingness to do prep work i.e ground slab and footing prep, poly and mesh out
- Good level of physical fitness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to concrete construction in Western Australia
- A valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation
