Job requirements

Build and install formwork for structures such as hospitals, carparks, apartment blocks, hotels, warehouses and other concrete structures
Inspect, repair, and dismantle formwork after concrete has been poured and set, ensuring that structures are built to specifications
Use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and leveling devices to precisely measure, cut and shape formwork materials

Work closely with other site team members, including labourers, construction supervisors/managers, steel fixers, post-tensioners, and concreters, to ensure the task is completed efficiently and safely
Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and maintaining a clean work area
Provide guidance and training to apprentices and less experienced workers

Experience and skills

Familiarity with Australian safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and equipment
Good physical condition
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Certification in carpentry or 3 years plus of Formwork experience
