About the position
Job requirements
- Hands on Supervision and coordinate the activities of formwork carpenters and labourers in your team for your area
- Ensure the construction of formwork meets the specifications and safety standards, and timelines
- Read and interpret design and construction plans to guide the team effectively
- Manage the assembly and disassembly of formwork systems, ensuring efficient use of materials and labour
- Conduct regular inspections pre, during, and post-pour of formwork and falsework
- Collaborate with Fineform site management to get the best out of your team
- Train and mentor junior staff in formwork techniques and safety protocols
- Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges related to formwork construction with the Fineform site management team
Experience and skills
- Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter or similar role, with at least 2 years in a leading hand or supervisory capacity
- Strong understanding of formwork systems, construction methods, and safety standards
- Leadership and communication skills, capable of managing a diverse team
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in carpentry/formwork is desirable
